العربيةMr. Pierre-Emmanuel Agnimel, the Humanitarian attaché of the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem, together with Ms. Seloua Ameziane, the UNRWA Associate Legal Officer, paid a visit to the UNRWA IT Service Centre (ITSC) in Gaza on February 14, 2023, representing the French Consulate General.
Head of the IT Service Centre, Mr. Hani Kurdiya, and IT Service Centre Partnership Coordinator, Ms. Reem M. Akkila, along with IMTD Communications Aide, Ms. Hala Shaheen, warmly received and took the visitors on a tour of the ITSC, where they saw the innovation and dedication of our IT professionals in action.
Mr. Agnimel was particularly impressed with the opportunities being given to female IT professionals, praising the ITSC for its commitment to gender diversity. The tour culminated in a meeting where Ms. Shaheen delivered a brief presentation on the ITSC’s objectives, services, growth, and current partnerships, along with inspiring success stories.
During the presentation, Mr. Agnimel was eager to learn about the participation of women in IT fields and specializations in the Gaza Strip. He was so impressed by what he saw that he promised to visit again and explore the possibilities of future collaboration and support for the ITSC.
This visit was a powerful testament to the potential and talent of our young IT professionals, and we look forward to continued partnerships and support to further develop the ITSC’s mission.
