KfW Visits UNRWA’s IT Service Centre: A Journey of Collaboration and Innovation

A delegation from KfW, represented by Rahel Kroeker, Felix Morten Neugebauer, and Aleksandar Ivanovski, recently paid a visit to the UNRWA IT Service Centre (ITSC) in Gaza on 7th June 2023.

The visit began at the Gaza Field Office (GFO), where KfW’s delegation had productive discussions with their colleagues from UNRWA. Kaan Cetinturk, the CIO and Director of the Information Management & Technology Department, shared valuable insights about UNRWA’s digital transformation strategy, which focuses on empowering the digital generation of Palestine refugees.

After the successful meeting at GFO, Kaan Cetinturk and the KfW delegation proceeded to the IT Service Centre, where they were warmly received by Mr. Hani Kurdiya, the Head of the IT Service Centre, Ms. Hala Shaheen, the IMTD Communications Aide, and Ms. Reem M. Akkila, the IT Service Centre Partnership Coordinator. The visitors were given a tour of the IT Service Centre, providing them with a firsthand look at the innovative projects our dedicated IT professionals are working on.

During the tour, KfW’s representatives were keen to learn about the various projects being undertaken by the IT professionals and the impact they were making. This visit served as a testament to the potential and talent of the young IT professionals working at the IT Service Centre, highlighting their valuable contributions to UNRWA’s mission.
